The Blush Machine explores the circulation of racialized and gendered shame.
The installation consists of three rooms, where visitors are invited to reflect and carry out simple acts and gestures. In the first room, a large projection awaits the audience. In the second a video (3 mins) is shown for individual audience members. In the third room, visitors can leave their thoughts and feelings behind spraying them on a canvas where a face is projected. A collage of voices of Santa Cruzians accompanies the visitors in the third room.
